Internship opportunities, shadowing, careers in accounting, getting a job
- The Fall 2020 Accounting Careers Workshop is your opportunity to meet CPAs who work in a variety of careers, talk with recruiters about upcoming internship opportunities and become a first-time student member of the Texas Society of CPAs gratis. New Date/New Format – Friday, September 25, 2020, live via Zoom, 5:30 – 7 pm.

Young Accounting Professionals
The TXCPA-SA Young Accounting Professionals (YAP) group is made up of CPAs, candidates and accounting students between the ages of 22 and 40 who meet to socialize, network, perform community service and have fun.
YAP will announce its Fall 2020 line-up of events shortly. Please check back for details.
Expand your network through Chapter Meetings
Expand your network of accounting professionals in public practice as well as business and industry by attending this upcoming TXCPA-SA Chapter Meeting.
The next Chapter Meeting is tentatively scheduled for Friday, December 4, 2020, at the Embassy Suites Landmark Hotel, pending current health and safety restrictions locally. Details will be provided as they become available.
Volunteering to benefit nonprofit organizations
Funlympics, TXCPA-SA’s largest and longest-running community service project, requires an army of volunteers to host hundreds of Bexar County children each summer for a half-day of games, followed by a cook-out and school supply distribution. Funlympics 2020 will consist of a virtual fundraiser to provide 500 backpacks stuffed with school supplies to children at local community centers which participate regularly in Funlympics. Stuff the Van for Blue Santa involves TXCPA-SA members, family and friends collecting toys and financial donations for the San Antonio Police Department’s Blue Santa program. Details for Stuff the Van for Blue Santa 2020 will be announced later this summer.
Join TXCPA-SA members, co-workers and supporters in November of each year for the Texas Society of CPAs’ Month of Service. Details announced in early fall.

2020-21 TXCPA-SA scholarships
Application for 2020-21 TXCPA-SA scholarships is now closed
The window to apply for one of up to five academic scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year provided by TXCPA-SA is now closed. Applications for the 2021-2022 academic year will be accepted beginning January 1, 2021.
